Since my husband died it’s just me, but I’ve got lights on in the living room, kitchen, study and a couple of bedrooms, plus the router, stereo and a phone on charge. Mine says 4p an hour. All the lights are LED though. It says I’m using just under 200W/hour

It depends how often your meter feeds back the information to the in home display, but what it shows you isn’t accurate and will always have some time lag.

If it lags that’s really unhelpful. I’ve been trying to work out which appliances use the most power

Is there an app or something I can use to see my smart metre usage without going outside to the metre box? There was nothing here when we moved in

Mines British Gas and there’s an app

Mines a Scottish Power app, and the smart meter was installed about 6 moths ago. Based on what happens when I turn the (electric) hob on, the lag is minimal. A couple of seconds at most.
