Stationery lovers! Help me find this pencil please

I was once in possession of the perfect pencil. A true delight to write with. Sadly I have misplaced it and I am desperate to replace it. No other pencil can compare. It was a pencil of unknown origin that just appeared in my pencil case one day (I presume fate brought us together)

The pencil looked to just be a standard Staedtler Noris HB but it was weightier than those and the black and yellow stripes were matt and slightly rubbery rather than shiny.

Google has not proved able to identify such a thing (though my attempts at spelling Staedtler haven’t always helped!) so I am turning to you.

Have you ever come across one of these pencils and if so where can I purchase one to fill the hole lost by my previous one?!

Assuming the black and yellow are indictive of the pencil type, as opposed to being a random pencil that happened to have a black and yellow stripe design. Saying that, this link seems to be a special edition.

Was it the Staedtler Noris Ergosoft Learner's Pencil? That has a non slip coating!

Why is that picture so satisfying

Did it have the Staedtler print on the side? If it didn't, it might have been a copy churned out by a rival, perhaps on the other side of the globe. If that's the case, I think it might be rather difficult to find another, and I hope yours turns up safe and sound. If it doesn't, would some of these do?

Whilst we're on the pencil topic...can anyone recommend a fabulous pencil sharpener? I love writing in pencil (so much neater) but struggle to find the perfect sharpener

Oh that does sound like a great pencil! I can understand why you miss it

To the PP wanting a sharpener, I love my Oxford barrel one. It stays sharp because the blade is protected
