Bar Iberico tapas is v good.

Mum2jenny · 06/03/2022 20:23

Yamas is really good, centre of town too

Mum2jenny · 06/03/2022 20:25

Sorry, but I assumed you wouldn’t consider Sat Bains, as it’s very pricy but very good.

I second bar Iberico. The food is amazing.

LuckyKitty13 · 06/03/2022 20:26

Definitely not world service!!

familybfive · 06/03/2022 20:30

Thanks for your recommendations, ah @LuckyKitty13 i was looking at world service - not good then ,,?

@Mum2jenny Day Bain’s would be fab , but i think they are now only booking for may ..,

I agree, I had an awful meal at world service, despite it's reputation. The food was so so salty (saltier than any I have ever had in a restaurant) and they got my dessert order wrong after it took them over 30mins to take the order

catwithflowers · 06/03/2022 20:33

@familybfive for another time, Sat Bains is amazing 😊

Mum2jenny · 06/03/2022 20:34

Sat Bains was amazing when I went with my dd. But you do need to book ahead

LuckyKitty13 · 06/03/2022 20:46

Yes sorry, was awful. And service was shocking - rude staff. Average food at best. Extremely overpriced.

Spudina · 06/03/2022 20:52

Harts is pricey but nice. Or Lace Market hotel?

PuppyMonkey · 06/03/2022 20:54

Surely you’d be better with Annie’s Burger Shack with that age group?

(I hate tapas Grin)

Mum2jenny · 06/03/2022 21:05

Annie’s burger shack is good too. Depends what you really want I eat though

familybfive · 06/03/2022 21:22

Ah yes - I do think that Annies Burger Shack would suit the teens ! :)

Are you looking for fine dining OP? Or trendy? Or mid range?

shellybon · 06/03/2022 21:32

The Ginza
Mowgali
Son of Steak
Chino Latino
Browns

All my faves

anotherheadache · 06/03/2022 21:32

If you have fine dining budget, Alchemilla is Michelin star and a bit trendier/cool that sat bains.

For more average price, the alchemist does pretty decent food and some interesting cocktails to add to the fun!

For Tapas I like baresca which is quite laid back casual but still trendy vibe.

BurbageBrook · 06/03/2022 21:42

Mowgli if you like Indian food, Zapp Thai for Thai, Bar Iberico for tapas..

Ozanj · 06/03/2022 21:45

The Michelin Star near Loughborough’s meant to be good.

User76745333 · 06/03/2022 21:47

Alchemilla will set you back more than £100 a head for lunch though.

Dosas at Kayal.

4550 Miles From Dehli has amazing food and is quite fancy for a curry house. If you like curry I’d recommend it.
