This afternoon I was watching something on Britbox which I was absolutely certain I'd never seen before. Had no memory of ever seeing it or knowing anything much about it. It's an adaptation of a novel which I definitely hadn't read before but just picked up secondhand and did read, finishing it yesterday. As I read it, I was absolutely certain I'd not come across this story before.

During episode 3 (of 3), my son came home, glanced at the screen and said 'Oh yes, we all watched this at Christmas when it first came out'. Indignantly, I said no, I'd never seen it before. He was adamant I had.

Reader, I did an adv ance search on the username I had at the time. He is right. I am wrong. I had not only watched it, I'd commented several times on the Telly Addicts thread discussing the programme, making more intelligent comments than I might have come up with today.

I AM DOOMED. Sad

How disappointing for you OP. I hate when this happens, it is quite an affront to ones intellect and optimism about the state of things.

Did you agree or disagree with your own opinions when you read them back?
