I have a free afternoon and a choice of:

Belfast
Cyrano
The Batman
The Dog
Ali & Ava

I have already seen Death on the Nile and don't want to see Marry Me

Any recommendations please?

thanks

Belfast.
I'm seeing The Godfather 2, they've all been re-released.

Loved The Batman. I hate the cinema but we were all enthralled for 3 hours. No noise whatsoever

I'd vote for the Duke if you don't want sad - and Belfast is a sad one.

I honestly think people have been watching a different Batman to me? It just had absolutely no pace to it whatsoever. I liked that it was dark, moody etc. But the main actor had no personality whatsoever and just looked he did when he was all 'mean and moody' in Twilight. I saw the 'big surprise' at the end coming a mile off. But by that point i was bored and waiting for it to end. My favourite part of it was spotting parts of Liverpool.

@Madre123

Cyrano was ok.....would be better to see at the theatre though I think.....good story......Belfast was good but very sad...saw the Batman yesterday and it was quite simply FANTASTIC
I love Peter Dinklage and thought he was exceptional in Carson and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole film

Belfast I found poignant/reflective/thought-provoking rather than sad

The Duke was great - very funny in parts, I loved it. I love films of that era - for example the setting especially the house reminds me of older family members.

The Duke or Belfast.

Batman is about 3 hours long - take a commode!

Icemast · 06/03/2022 19:44

The dog has channing tatami and a dog in it so seems like a winner!

Hbh17 · 06/03/2022 19:44

Belfast is fantastic, & not particularly sad.

ApolloandDaphne · 06/03/2022 19:45

Belfast is a story about love. It is honest and poignant but not sad.

Was really looking forward to Cyrano but found it boring; would not recommend.

Daisy03 · 06/03/2022 21:42

I loved both Cyrano and Belfast
