Did it come with a seal on the box and one of those little thin film screen protectors that new phones/tvs etc usually come with?

Just received a switch from Very and it’s got neither, paid for a new console not reconditioned.
Everything incl wires came in the usual plastic sleeves and the switch unit had a plastic sleeve and bubble wrap

It should come with a seal on the box. I don't think it came with a screen protector though.

Yes to seal.

We bought one at Christmas from Argos and it didn't have a security seal either. Same here we checked and everything was new in the bags, etc but did seem odd.

Was just worried as the older version had a poor battery life, the version I have should have an improved battery but if there’s no seal on the box then who’s to know

DS2 bought a new Oled Switch yesterday and it didn't have a seal on the box nor a screen protector. I thought it was a bit odd too, but it must be normal now.
