How do your kids listen to music?

DS loves pop music & is always nicking my phone to listen to his mix on Spotify.

He's too young for his own phone. What can I get him to listen to his music on? Similar to a cd player but online? But not a laptop or a phone....?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm not very techy Smile

We have a family Spotify account - I think you can have 6 profiles. They listen via their phones on Bluetooth speakers or just with headphones

Yes DH has this worry. He thinks it will be listening to our conversations.
Yes of course it will How about an old-fashioned stereo? You can buy CDs very cheaply in charity shops, ebay etc. And it's fun to change CDs :)

DD has an Alexa
But before that she had one of DH's old iphone without a SIM, so basically an ipod. We used that to upload audio books as well and she listened to music via Spotify, either with headphones or via Bluetooth speaker.

She also took the "phone" with her on longer car journeys to listen to books.

Yes we have a family Spotify. It works really well. Dd aged 18 and Ds aged 9 love it and dh and I use it too.

We have family Spotify too for kids 9&7, they love it; it's on their tablets and they have headphones (although we do make sure filters are set on Spotify!).

Wouldn't go for CDs - kids are notoriously crap at looking after them (mine scratched our story ones in the car to the point of being unintelligible)

Mine have good old fashioned cd players, but with bluetooth so we can play them audible/bbc sounds/spotify if we want to.
