Long leg, slim waist boys trousers

4 year old DS. Very slim, small waist but extremely long legs. Used to find Sainsbury's the best for just normal bottoms (joggers, jeans, bottoms that he can wear to Pre-School)

He has since had a growth spurt and even more tall. Tried George and Primark, Age 4-5years are ok on the length but too loose on the waist, just fall down! He needs age 5-6 on the leg really. But age 2-3 on the waist!

I don't want to tie them or belt them and he struggles pulling them up and down to go to the toilet as it is.

Can anyone recommend very long leg, comfy trousers (not school trousers) that's very small on the waist

H&M were best for us - many of the cargo style trousers have adjustable waists. He doesnt wear joggers as they usually have false drawstring and are too big.

H&M. By boy is 9 and has always been like this and he lives in H&M jeans and trousers as they have the waisted elastic things that you can tighten. Unfortunately I'm yet to find any joggers that fit properly.

The false drawstrings are the worst! My 9 year old is in age 6 swimming trunks because of this!

Vertbaudet have a narrow hip fit in their Morphologik range that works brilliantly for my DS.

Next, everytime! I have a 9 year old ds which is skinny and tall and still have to use them because they have the elastic and buttons inside. Also for uniform too, as they have skinny leg and adjustable waists.

Next are quite good. I get most of DC stuff from there.

It seems to get better as they get older (or my kids have filled out a bit. My almost 9YO now only needs a 10 or 11 and that doesn't seem too ridiculous at the waist anymore. He's in size 3 shoes though and is almost as tall as me. Confused

Another vote for next. My DS is 3 but wears a 5-6 year in the leg. The smart next trousers have the elastic and clear butting in the waistband so you can pull them much tighter.

Zara. They even sell ‘long leg’ leggings.
