Holed up due to covid again !

Didn't think it possible. DH was ill ish last week. Did not think it was covid, both test lfts due to our jobs. All negative, As i work in a care home i get a pcr test weekly and it came back positive.
I really did not think i would have to go through all this again. I know there are bigger things to worry about but my DP who works for NHS doesnt need a pcr.
Does anyone know when all this is going to stop ?

I don't think it will, we'll always be cautious. I hope you feel better soon and recover quickly, it's shit Flowers

It will stop when testing stops.

I think if you work in a care home, testing should still continue for a while yet and whilst you may not get it bad, others you care for may. It’s not going away there has been 40,000 cases a day recently with an average 1,000 going to hospital each day.

True i agree but why test in care homes and not the NHS ? They are caring for vulnerable people too. My brother died from getting covid in hospital aged 57.
I just dont get why care homes and not other healthcare settings where people are vulnerable.

I agree re-NHS. I am prison service and we ate still doing daily LFTs and weekly PCRs due to the combination of elderly/vulnerable prisoner population and close quarters making it a "super spreader" risk.

I have no symptoms so how many other people are walking around with it because they do not get tested.
Should not complain as i do not have to work this weekend.
