Do you love your mattress?

I need to buy a new mattress. The current one gives me shoulder and hip pain as I sleep on my side. Anyone got a soft comfortable and supportive mattress?

Sealy all the way. I'm on my second after the first one lasting ten years. Absolutely love it. So comfortable and supportive. Not over the top price wise either.

RockinHorseShit · 05/03/2022 13:55

No, I loved our last Silent Night sprung memory foam mattress much much moreSad WTF did we think we were upgrading to our current sweaty, soggy & shite Mammoth memory foam

Jellybean23 · 05/03/2022 13:59

Ours is bliss but it was expensive - it's a Harrison Spink. We've had Relyon, Laura Ashley and Vi Spring in the past and the HS is the best by a mile.

I love my tempur mattress. It has been worth every penny in my opinion. The only downside to it is whenever I stay in a hotel I am less comfortable than I am at home!

Newhorizon21 · 05/03/2022 15:36

@AmberRoseGold

We bought a John Ryan bed based on recommendations on here. Really rate it. Much cheaper than our previous vi spring but better IMHO
I've been looking at these, which type did you buy?

We did the same and tried the Emma and I HATED it.
Sent it back and bought another Silent Night.

I have a Relyon Balmorel pocket sprung mattress which is fairly soft but is also supportive. It's like sleeping on a cloud.

Samanabanana · 05/03/2022 15:51

Yes, it's a simba. I love it so much!

MakkaPakkas · 05/03/2022 21:56

Thanks! I think I might look into getting a topper. Will check out Dunelm for that

I'm on my 3rd in 2 years, finally happy with it. Last one was too soft and previous one was too hard despite 2 toppers. It was a long and painful journey, but finally happy with this one!

BoodleBug51 · 05/03/2022 22:21

We've got a firm sprung one (Hestia natures choice by Furmanac) that has a built in pillow topper. I've got disc issues and DH has got restless legs so we needed a mattress that suited us both. We've also got their Latex mattresses in all of our other bedrooms, they're such good quality.

Had it 6 years and hate sleeping on other mattresses....... on holiday I can't wait to get home!

RosieLeaLovesTea · 05/03/2022 23:13

We have an Otty and it’s great. Very comfortable. We also have an Emma super king! It’s good too

Smallkeys · 05/03/2022 23:15

Hypnos bed for me love it and that’s been several years

jay55 · 05/03/2022 23:18

Tempur sensation the deepest one. Bloody love it, cost a fortune but eliminated morning hip pain, so totally worth it.

emma1103 · 05/03/2022 23:19

Yes 100%. Its an igel mattress from bensons and its amazing.

jerryg · 05/03/2022 23:21

Panda topper from Amazon, bliss.

Movingonup22 · 05/03/2022 23:21

I’ve got an Emma mattress and it makes me weep with joy

Sebastianthecoo · 05/03/2022 23:22

Hated our Simba and returned within the 100 days. Bought a premier inn hypnois and absolutely love it!

ClariceQuiff · 05/03/2022 23:29

Mine is a Hypnos and I'm happy with it - can't remember the name but it's designed for a slatted bed frame rather than a divan, which was what attracted me to it, and it's lived up to expectations - still very comfortable after the 7 years I've had it.

NotSoSkinnyNow · 05/03/2022 23:43

I definitely recommend a topper from dunelm.

I got them for 2x single and a double when we were in temporary homeless accommodation and couldn't justify new beds/mattresses. 3 years on and I'm still quite happily using the one on my bed (bought new beds for dc when we moved to permanent home)

NotSoSkinnyNow · 05/03/2022 23:45

If I could afford it, would definitely invest in a hypnos bed from premier inn, but in the meantime I'm very comfortable with my dunelm topper

pompei8309 · 05/03/2022 23:46

I suffer from back and hip pain the only mattress that helped so far it’s Harrison Spink worth every penny

Porkmore · 05/03/2022 23:49

Yes. I have a Hypnos one and I swear to god himself it's an absolute joy. I'd pick my bed over my husband. And I reaaallly love my husband Grin

IndigoBlue · 05/03/2022 23:55

I bought a John Ryan mattress a year ago and very happy with it, my back and neck ache started to disappear within a few days!

Spottybotty20 · 05/03/2022 23:58

I have a latex topped rest assured mattress and it is bliss, it’s a few years old now but doesn’t feel any different from when we bought it.
