No frozen fruit in stock

At Sainsbury. None at all, no smoothie mix, nothing.

Has anyone bought any from other supermarkets? Or any idea why there's a sudden lack?

I haven't noticed a shortage where I am yet. I get through tons of the stuff. Could be a supply chain issue?

Landedonfeet · 04/03/2022 19:18

Absolutely full as normal at Morrisons and also Waitrose today

JTK392 · 04/03/2022 19:19

This has happened to us several times with Ocado. No frozen fruits at all, then other times dozens of choices. Right now they are low on variety.

girlmom21 · 04/03/2022 19:19

My local Sainsburys had freezers full yesterday

BlanketsBanned · 04/03/2022 19:19

Iceland and Tesco have them

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 04/03/2022 19:19

Loads at m&s

321zyx · 04/03/2022 19:19

Aldi fully stocked.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 04/03/2022 19:20

No shortage here. I wonder if your store just had a freezer problem or something?

Libertybear80 · 04/03/2022 19:20

Tesco today. Loads in

fortunenookie · 04/03/2022 19:23

Loads at my Sainsbury’s in fact I bought some today
Marks and Spencer’s also had lots - their frozen tropical smoothie mix with papaya and coconut in is absolutely gorgeous with a few on the turn strawberries and some apple juice chucked in. It’s in a few separate sealed bag servings too so very convenient and not that expensive

DockOTheBay · 04/03/2022 19:25

Not much point in saying "loads at aldi". There might be loads at your local aldi, but none at OPs.
Its probably localised to a single store or area.

Well OP asked if there's stock in other peoples local stores.
ImFree2doasiwant · 04/03/2022 19:40

Thanks all. It's helpful to know it's not a general shortage/supply issue, and wirth me shopping around

No point in anything then! Confused

Anyone seen a nice green dress for a spring wedding?
Not much point in saying yes. OP might not like it.

Anyone got a child at Bristol doing maths and can tell me what extra activities are available?
Not much point in that, OP's child might not like the opportunity to do rowing or tennis?

Anyone got a recipie for Yorkshire puddings?
No point in that, you might be a shit cook.

I’ve just looked at Sainsburys online (I’m doing the weekly order), and there are ‘no products to show’ in frozen fruit and smoothie mixes. And no explanation.

frenchfancy81 · 04/03/2022 20:01

What a thread 😆

JTK392 · 04/03/2022 20:05

@frenchfancy81

What a thread 😆
Indeed. From frozen fruit to philosophy of nihilism.

Apparently there isn’t a UK wide shortage of frozen fruit which is useful information.

ImFree2doasiwant · 04/03/2022 20:09

@SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius yes, tgats what I found. I live rurally so wanted to check before traipsing miles around other supermarkets.

Ring the shops and ask before you travel miles

JTK392 · 05/03/2022 10:41

So, @ImFree2doasiwant did you get your frozen fruit? Smile

LovelaceBiggWither · 05/03/2022 10:43

Where does the fruit come from? If it is from Australia, we've got massive shortages of frozen fruit because crops were not picked and processed due to labour shortages and covid.

It's only going to get worse since the rain bomb drama of this week.

ImFree2doasiwant · 05/03/2022 11:08

@JTK392 I haven't been yet but I will report back! Grin

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 05/03/2022 19:15

I just checked again, and now Sainsburys online seems to have a completely normal range of frozen fruit.

ImFree2doasiwant · 05/03/2022 21:12

Oh well that's good, as my order will coming Monday, so I can easily send it tomorrow (and not have to go shopping, happy days!)
