If the West and NATO won't commit our armies to the defence of Ukraine, our money can help the Ukrainian Army!

You can donate straight to the Ukrainian National Bank using the account details in this link:

ukraine.ua/news/donate-to-the-nbu-fund/

The bank will enable the Ukrainian Army to buy food, weapons, various equipment, etc, for their soldiers.

These organisations will also help the army financially if you donate:

Come Back Alive - savelife.in.ua/

Army SOS - armysos.com.ua/pomoch-armii

My daughter felt so strongly on Wednesday night about sending aid boxes, so I researched it.

Where we are, humanitarian aid groups have more than enough food, so don't need any more.

This is usually what is urgently required:

Complete First Aid kits

Or individual first aid materials such as:

Sterile gauze, bandages, dressings, plasters, thermal blankets, tubular bandages, saline ampoules, disinfectant, disposable gloves, tourniquets, scissors, etc.

Shampoo
Soap
Shower gel
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Feminine hygiene products
Nappies
Baby wipes
Washing up liquid
Washing powder

New blankets & sleeping bags

Disposable cutlery, plates and bowls

There's zero clothing in ours and we followed the list from our local Polish drop off. They actually told us a few minutes ago they urgently require sleeping bags.

Different organisations have different requirements.

In any case, there are links provided to donate money to the Ukrainian Army.

It's not only humanitarian aid items that's required.

No problem! Although I've provided a list straight from the Ukrainian authorities of military equipment they require, I'll be donating money to their national bank which is for the Ukrainian Army.

we are sending money....had a family collection

fernsandlilies · 04/03/2022 22:35

I know the OP said that she had a list of specific requirements, but in general it's much better to send money:

ideas.ted.com/after-a-disaster-dont-send-toys-or-clothing-send-money-heres-why/

DownNative · 05/03/2022 03:22

Remember, the Ukrainian Army requires financial donations in order to buy food, ammunition, equipment, etc, for their soldiers.

The humanitarian aid is one aspect of the situation there, but the Army urgently require money.

Which link did you try?

The Ukrainian National Bank link contains account information so you can donate from your bank app to them.

This one: ukraine.ua/news/donate-to-the-nbu-fund/

It's administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, so is official.
