Puss Cat won't eat

Rehomed a 4 year old male stray from the RSPCA back in September. He has always had a fine appetite. He used to eat Whiskas cat food. I then had him eating Aldi cat food. He then refused to eat Aldi cat food and would only eat Whiskas.

I have been giving him Whiskas pouches ever since. However, today he won't even eat those. I went and bought some Felix pouches and he won't eat these either.

I tested him with a few Dreamies and he will eat these with gusto, so it's not like he can't chew or swallow.

What do you think is happening and what should I do next?

If he can manage hard crunchy stuff he's likely taking the piss.

It's a cat thing.

My fussy pussy likes Tesco own brand jelly pouches for now

Agreed! Cats are sooooo fussy. He if stops eating altogether get him checked out, otherwise this is now your life, trying to please a cat Grin

Mine will literally like a flavour in the morning, but when I give her the rest of the pouch in the evening, she turns her nose up at it.

Cat behaviour at its finest!! Never buy too many of a particular brand, because they won't like it tomorrow!!
However, often after a few weeks they completely forget they didn't like a particular brand and will start eating it again 😡😡🤩

This!! He's playing with you in the hopes you'll cave in and cook him up a nice bit of chicken or some fresh fish!! If he's hungry he'll eat is own food

You must know cats won't possibly eat an already opened pouch.

God forbid you could save money.
Fresh, different choice everyday and when they want it.

Absolutely selfish cats, and I love em for it. Grin
