"I need ammunition, not a ride" - what would Alexander de Pfeffel do?

Looking at our bloated, cowardly, self-serving "leader" and once again despising the people that put and keep him where he is. If there were ever an event that showed these people up for what they are, it's yesterday's news that Gavin Williamson - sacked twice and oversaw an utter shambles - has been awarded a knighthood.

Who on earth uses this war as a bad news cover to do this shit? I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with his public pronouncement that he "knows where the bodies are".

Urgh.

Well, I think we all know without a shadow of a doubt that BJ would be out on the first ride available. Without so much as a backwards glance. His only loyalty is to himself.

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 04/03/2022 07:23

He would trample over others 😖

AlexaShutUp · 04/03/2022 07:23

And as for Gavin, well... this government has lost the ability to disappoint me because I expect nothing but shit from them anyway. And they are excellent at living up to my expectations.

Libertybear80 · 04/03/2022 07:24

The Scarborough fireplace salesman that messed up his Education ministers job. What an absolute joke!

Duracellbunnywannabe · 04/03/2022 08:02

The war in Ukraine is providing a useful distraction from the lockdown parities. He managed to weather that storm.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 04/03/2022 08:09

He'd be hiding in a fridge again

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 04/03/2022 08:10

Before you slag off Boris ask yourself what Starmer would do . He's even worse . We have the best of a bad bunch sadly

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 04/03/2022 08:12

Starmer doesn't tend to hide in kitchen appliances, does he? Or have I missed the "Keir in a Tumble Dryer" photo?

Starmer's mettle has not been tested. We have no reason to think he would run away. Boris however has already hidden in a fridge once. We know what he's made of.
BeagleBeagled · 04/03/2022 08:15

What evidence is there that Starmer would be worse than Boris? Has Starmer ever hid away?

ZenNudist · 04/03/2022 08:16

Kier would be great in a crisis. Its a shame we haven't got serious people on the world stage. Liz Truss is a joke and not bright.

Are you serious sniffing glue??!!?

You cannot seriously believe that this insanely incompetent government who oversaw one of the world’s worst covid responses, who wasted in excess of £40 BILLION during that time and who have pushed thousands into poverty and are now ensuring that they stay there, are the best of a bad bunch? They are actively not allowing citizens from Ukraine to apply to come here. And you believe the utter bullshit that it could be worse?

I properly despair at times for the idiots who believe in, and vote for, the conservatives.

What? I think Starmer would be great. He's a very principled person and doesn't run from difficult things.

“You lot stay here and hold the line, I’m going back to try and get re-inforcements”

(Apologies I think to Stephen Ambrose)

De Spaffle is the sort to push his own wife and children out of the way to ensure he gets out.

We don't know what Keir Starmer would do, but I expect that like most normal people he'd do his very best to do the right thing.

I somehow feel as though you would be saying this even as he is stepping on the back of your head in the mud to get a foothold on to his armour-plated vehicle, which would likely splatter you in the face in its hurry to drive off, as you try to get up...

Boris would be on his Russian mate's private jet to the Caribbean where he will hide in a Champagne fridge large enough to hold a party in. There will also be cake.

Why on earth are you bringing up Starmer?is there a general election pending? Utterly pointless to bring up fantasy comparisons that aren’t relevant to the current situation.

Boris is a useless oaf in his own right with out irrelevant comparisons, if this is the best the tories have to offer up then not only is the country buggered the tories should be.

megletthesecond · 04/03/2022 08:58

He'd be in the Caribbean. The man's a wimp.

GrendelsGrandma · 04/03/2022 09:06

He'd be in a bunker somewhere making wannabe Churchill videos and focusing his time on facilitating profiteering pals.

But then didn't Churchill dine on champagne and lobsters etc all through the war when everyone else was on dried egg rations?

How? Let’s look at their work track record. Mr Johnson a man who has been scaked for telling lies or Mr Starmer and man who has received a knighthood for his work.

I’m very interested to hear why you think Mr Starmer is worse than Mr Johnson?

Hospedia · 04/03/2022 11:03

Is "but Starmer..." the 2022 version of "but Corbyn..."? Starmer isn't PM, Boris Fucking Johnson is. "So-and-so would be worse" is not the ringing endorsement of his leadership you seem to think it is as being the least shit isn't not a commendable quality.
