Hi everyone
I was in a shop earlier today and I was looking at the prices of some face cream. There were signs (in a foreign language which I do not speak) stating that certain products had reductions. I could not understand if the face cream had been reduced or not.

I asked a woman standing next to me if she knew whether the face cream had been reduced. She read the sign and said 'Yes it should be half price now'. I replied 'oh great'. She then replied 'It was fucking cheap anyway' meaning before the discount in a kind of half joking way.

I did not know how to take it so I just laughed along and walked off. Now I think back on it, I am wondering if she was being rude.

Was she being rude?

Is honestly say it was more a comment on the face cream than any sort of slight at you.

People are weird.

In situations where there is doubt I have resolved to assume the best of others.

You’re never going to see her again, what’s the point on feeling slighted?

Assume she meant nothing negative and go on and have a happier day.

I wouldn't be bothered unless she was dressed in diamonds, designer gear and was looking down at you
Enjoy your face cream

Yes she was rude to swear so vulgarly to a stranger
