My 6 month old baby tested positive for Covid yesterday. Her temp has been quite high and she’s been very sleepy. How long did it last for anybody else’s baby that’s had it and how were they? So horrible seeing her like this 😔

Hi I hope your baby is better now. My 6 month old has just had a positive test today and 111 advised to take her to a&e this morning which I did. She had a temperature of 38.8 last night, is vomiting, has a nasty cough and if she's not sleeping she's crying which is not like her at all . The hospital said to look after her with calpol and nurofen at home and to make sure she has 21 oz of milk a day. Apparently there's nothing more they can do despite her breathing rapidly!! I'm so worried xx

Oh lovely, that sounds horrible. I’m not going to lie, it was such a hard time when my LO had Covid. It lasted about a week. It’s horrible seeing them like that but she will get better. We did the same with calpol and ibuprofen. Just hang in there x

I'm not sure if I can handle a week of this! It's so heartbreaking not being able to help them when they are so little! Thank you. Xx
