The cost of holidays

Is it just me or is it very expensive? I'm looking at breaks in Europe and it definitely seems more expensive than I had remembered! Anyone found any bargains?

Also, Egypt is only going to get cheaper in terms of accomodation.
The hotel we went to had mainly Eastern European, Ukranian and Russian guests......

We have a week in Greece in May. Booked last year with Tui. Just under £800 for a week in hotel with breakfast. That's flights. baggage.transfers the lot.
