What do refuse to give up to save money

After reading the thread about what we will go without to save money i was thinking about what i just couldn't do without. For me it is tea, i will cut down or buy a cheaper brand of most things, but not my tea, i will stick to my brand no matter what. What can't you give up ?

Forgot one - Private Eye subscription! It’s only £30 a year and is one of the best publications out there.

If you really had to it wouldn’t be too hard to give up to streaming services. If you’ve got internet connection there’s so much available for free. All4 and UKTV play apps have got absolutely loads on (there might be adverts though), and iPlayer is good too if you have a tv license. My5 and ITV hub are ok.

There’s much more to watch on these channels than you’d imagine. Can you tell I’ve been cutting back?

Running my car - not just re me, but I do a lot for my mum

I have swapped to Aldi’s ready salted crisps - way nicer than walkers and half the price (have made lots of other changes too, but I was quite surprised by this one).

Going to a café for coffee and lunch/cake on days out instead of taking a flask and making sandwiches.
Nice bread and branded breakfast cereals will be the last things to go.

Twinnings Earl grey tea,.is all I drink, all with no milk,, but the co-op brand is quite good too.

Indoorcamping · 06/03/2022 08:32

Yorkshire tea
Lurpak butter
Heinz baked beans

I quite fancy beans on toast for breakfast now.

Also the heating on a bit in the night. The toddler will wake if it's cold.

Probably going to ditch sky so won't compromise on Netflix either.
