My ex is due for sentencing tomorrow for breaching the non molestation order almost a year ago. He received a 6 month suspended sentence the last time he did this (2019). There had been further breeches and a significant threat (which occurred at the family court) but sadly the police didn’t act on these occasions. He’s not allowed direct contact with our son (has not had direct contact for around 4 years now). He’s pleaded guilty to this particular breech so thankfully I don’t need to attend court. I expect he’ll get a fine and maybe a few hours if community service. Just wonder what others experience has been. For context the breech was ‘just’ a message regarding our son. I still have nightmares about my ex (significant history of violence and emotional abuse) and have panic attacks occasionally. I’d love to move on with my life and who knows maybe meet someone who treats me how I deserve to be treated.
