I forgot book day and feel awful.

DS is in year 6 and wasn't really fussed about it.
He said a few days ago he would just wear his spiderman costume under a shirt and jeans and be Peter Parker.

This morning he got up and put his uniform on.
Didn't think anything of it till DH texted from school that everyone had costumes on.

I feel awful :( his last ever book day too before high-school.

Feel like a shit mum :(

I'd have taken it too. And why not? This isn't a precious teachable moment, it's an opportunity to fix something in a relatively easy way. I hope he enjoyed the day.
