Do we need to go to the night pharmacy?

Posting here for traffic.

My 4yo has either a stomach bug or food poisoning (possibly my DH didn't reheat her dinner properly).

She woke about 11 and has fully emptied her stomach and has been retching with stomach cramps every 10 minutes since. She can't hold down sips of water.

Do we need to get pedalyte urgently now or can we wait til (say) 6 or 7am? We live a short drive from a 24 hour pharmacy but we're all absolutely shattered tbh and I'd rather my husband got a bit of sleep.

I keep thinking it's passed and the she vomits again... 😔

Poor thing is going to be gutted to miss world book day.

In the time it takes for a medical professional to stumble upon and respond to this thread you could have gone to the pharmacy and been back (if it's a short drive?)

Hope she feels better soon

I would definitely go to get her something. Good luck.

Sugary drink with salt is a make shift rehydration solution. Sounds like she’s got a bug, very quick for food poisoning

My dd would never take dioralyte and I was told by a dr to give plenty of well diluted juice as it has sugars in. Hope she feels better soon Flowers

Well I sent my DH to the pharmacy and they've changed their hours and closed at 12. Feeling very guilty now 😩

Will see how she gets on overnight and call the GP if still the same in the AM
