How will life look for the ordinary Russian once sanctions start to hit?

Will the ordinary middle & working class Russians be very badly affected or is it just the oligarchs who will feel it?
I don't understand the stockmarkets or currency values if anyone can explain it to me in laymans terms, thanks!

There have been some good description on the latest invasion 6 thread.
Basically very affected, mortgage rates have shot up, their apple pay, Google won't work,the currency is devalued,no import goings too them.... shortages..

The general issues are that the rouble has plummeted and daily consumables are showing steep price increases. Tech in particular has doubled in price.

There are also issues in accessing money - there was one working ATM in St Petersburg yesterday. There is also issues with anyone who has money in foreign currency or crypto in that they have to convert to roubles within a time limit.
