I've given up chocolate but can't decide if I should do biscuits and cake too.

I'm going through a tough time so don't want to make it so hard I fail but don't want to end up eating a half hundred weight of biscuits!

@SmackMyDonkey

Actually, I think I'm going to give up Mumsnet because it eats away at time that I could be spending productively.
I considered this but am too addicted . Would give me so much more time though

I'm a Christian and, for me, the point of Lent is to spend more time with God. Jesus went into the wilderness to be alone with his Father and be strengthened by his presence.
For Lent this year I've decided to spend more time reading the Bible and Christian books rather than my usual fiction.

Nothing and I am a Christian. We are having our pancakes at the weekend. (Vegan because of allergies) (all good gifts come from Amazon God and all that)

Why not try something positive instead? (As previous posters have suggested)

Either something overtly Christian like reading a gospel, church of England Lent reflections, giving thanks for food, or something general like giving to the food bank or not putting yourself last everytime, a gratitude diary or what's his name Dr recommended dark chocolate every day in his just one thing programme. (one square) much easier than the cold shower episode!
