What pain reliefs make you bad mouthed

I don't want to take gas and air because I'm scared I will say horrible things like when I'm drunk. Do other pain reliefs during labour have the potential to make you bad mouthed or is it just gas and air?

Say horrible things? Nah. Say all the truths in your deep conscience? Yep.

the thing about gas and air is that the effect wears off as soon as you stop using it. So if you are finding you are having a funny reaction to it you can just stop using it.

the rule is though that nothing you say whilst giving birth can ever be used against you in the future anyway, so try not to worry about it.

You really can't predict what you will be like in labour. People do all sorts of funny things and midwives are completely immune to it.

Gas and air absolutely made me the best version of myself. I love the stuff

Lack of pain relief made me bad-mouthed. I was far nicer when I got the drugs.

But don’t choose your baby’s name after the drugs Grin
