At least long enough to see 20 children through the school door on Thursday morning!?

I've tried sewing hair slides into it - they slide through my hair too easily 🙄 I can't get hair pins through the felt.

Any ideas? (Not elastic under my chin, I think that'd drive me crackers ).

The clips that are used on clip-in hair extensions? They can be sewn in and are more sturdy than a hair slide? Also recommend doing some light backcombing of your hair and use hairspray, to make clips grip better.

Hat pin?

Are you wearing McGonagall glasses? There was a poster asking about glasses for a costume recently but can't remember if it was you! You could tie the hat to the arms of the glasses, if so.

I wonder if I know anyone who might have a couple of those clips or a hat pin.

I'll message round & see. Or see if my friend with Prime could order me something.

It probably won't stay on long but we'll see!

Attach it to a headband

Elastic under your McGonagall bun at the back?

Make 2 small ponytails at the top of your head, and anchor the grips between your head and your hair bobble?

Surely there's a spell to help with this?

Stick some velcro on some big hair slides/clips and clip around head and sew some velcro on the inside of the hat so that the velcro matches

Have you got hair long enough to bun? For ballet shows, we use extra long and thick hair pins to anchor hats / veils etc right into depths of the bun.

Did the hat stay on?

I meant to come back & update but forgot all about it 🤦‍♀️

My friend, whose dgc dance, gave me a couple of those hair extension clip thingys & I pushed them down into my hair rather than up, if that makes sense.

I took it off at lunch time though, it was driving me a bit nuts 🤣
