Passport renewal - how long

has anyone done an online child passport renewal lately? straightforward renewal, how long did it take for the passport arrive?

Applied 12 Feb, application was approved 2nd March & printed 4th (20 days).

I'm still waiting for the actual passport though, so 24 days so far...

@Firstshoes I did get a text from TNT on the day of delivery itself - sent from Liverpool on Friday 25 Feb, arrived Wednesday 3 March - but no info on the TNT tracking until the day of delivery.

It took 2 weeks to update to say they’d received the old passport, which was last Wednesday and this morning they have updated it to ‘printing’, it’ll be 3 weeks since posting the old one on Thursday

19 days turnaround and that was with us leaving the passport about 4 days before we even sent it.

Once it was sent via TNT we got it the next day.

Thanks Legs. Hopefully it may come tomorrow. When mine was renewed last year I had a text from TNT the day the passport office posted it and got the passport the next day. I was getting a bit worried this time but it's good to know yours came so hopefully dd's will be the same. They must be very busy!

Just wondering if anyone has since received their passport? Mine was approved last Friday but I’ve received no further updates. Meant to be flying Sunday evening and really need to know if we need to cancel flights. I’m so anxious it’s making me sick 😩

Well I sent my first child passport 28/02, got an email saying received on 16/03, the application was approved 21/03 and I've had confirmation it was printed 23/03 but I've heard nothing since! Apparently at this point it goes to TNT who send tracking information but nothing yet . I thought that the actual dispatch stage would be the quickest part of the process naively.

How have others got on??

Child renewal:
Passport applied for on 20 /2 passport sent 3 d later.
Received last tuesday and approved on friday

Ughh my passport was sent for renewal on 23rd of Feb it's still being processed. Did you get the passport Beakind?

I have just submitted renewals for both my children last week. Passport website said average wait is 5 weeks, but to allow 10 weeks

How long did it take to receive supporting documents back (old passport/marriage certificate) It says two weeks but mines been longer and I can't get through to speak to anyone.
