Attitudes & support for Autism & ADHD in Italy?

DS7 is currently going through an autism and ADHD assessment but we think the outcome is very clear.

DH is from the south of Italy and has expressed some concerns about how family and friends might react if the diagnosis is confirmed as his impression is that it’s not well understood or discussed at all openly back home. We intend to move back to Italy at some point in the future and obviously would want to ensure we could have appropriate resources to support DS so are thinking about how we can look at this now.

I’d be interested if anyone had any experiences or could point me at some Italian resources / articles / blogs / websites that could help us understand current attitudes or things we could encourage family and friends to look at?

Thanks in advance!

I'm a teacher in the south of Italy.
Every school has a SEN coordinator and students with any kind of additional need are given what are known as PDPs which are personal programmes. All schools have support teachers who work one to one with any student who needs it. My school had about 10 such teachers. Inclusion is very much paramount. (just this afternoon our training session was on inclusion)
