Boss came to ask me if she could borrow a big ticket item we have at work (school, she's the head).
It's something several staff have asked and would cost several hundred pounds to hire for the weekend. Previously I've checked with the insurers and we've declined.
So my response was "we've always said no to staff" which was obviously not the answer she wanted. Obviously she's in charge, if she wanted to she could just take it so I'm not sure why she asked, no one would have known if she'd been discreet, but as she did, should I have given a different answer?
