Leave them alone, poor fuckers. They get one "proper" birthday every four bloody years and you grudge them a slice of cake a day early?

If any of my children were leap year babies, they'd get a card on the 28th of February, but no presents or cake or big celebration. They could have a small non-birthday party any time during the year if they so wished.

Now that just seems mean.

It's so they appreciate their real birthday more.

When their real birthday happens, they'd have a VERY big party (milestone birthday style)

I have a friend who was a lap year baby. When she turned 18 she wasn’t allowed to be served on 28th February but on the 1st March it was fine. She have a two day birthday every year
