Child hopscotching on pavement
Would this in any way shape or form be classed as graffiti?

No!

TooBigForMyBoots · 27/02/2022 21:28

No.

blueplantpop · 27/02/2022 21:29

For goodness sake!

Ohyesiam · 27/02/2022 21:30

No

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 27/02/2022 21:31

No!

ichifanny · 27/02/2022 21:36

Only to miserable people

WaltzingToWalsingham · 27/02/2022 21:44

Only if you live next door to Victor Meldrew.

SageRosemary · 27/02/2022 21:44

No, no, no. What's the story?!!!

Fernandina · 27/02/2022 21:45

No, of course not. It will get washed away by the rain in no time anyway.

purpleme12 · 27/02/2022 21:46

Worse than Victor Meldrew unfortunately

Thank you for the comments. Pretty unanimous.
(This is a comment that's been made towards us/my child's chalking)

Definitely not, however you will always have miserable people who tut at chalk drawings. What's happening

Mumdiva99 · 27/02/2022 21:47

Depends who you ask. There have been many threads over the years on this. Some people say yes, some no.....
Personally a bit of chalk on thenpavement wouldn't bother me. Especially if lots of kods in the road have got involved.
But......if there was permantently lots of chalk outside my door that I had to walk in, got on my shoes and into the house....then it's a pain.

mummypigoink · 27/02/2022 21:47

I’d be tempted to chalk something outside their house that would give them cause to complain Grin

purpleme12 · 27/02/2022 21:47

They are awful people (and that is putting it mildly) and they have done lots of things towards us
You never know when they'll start up again and how far they'll take it so I just wanted to check our position

OP posts:
HelenWick · 27/02/2022 21:48

No but I have been accused of graffiti for this exact reason, twice!

purpleme12 · 27/02/2022 21:48

@Mumdiva99
This is the first time we've chalked there since we moved here quite a few months ago now

HelenWick · 27/02/2022 21:48

On both occasions I immediately threw a bucket of water over it :)

MrsSkylerWhite · 27/02/2022 21:49

No, obviously.

SeasonFinale · 27/02/2022 21:50

Oh look your neighbour is on here

Cleothecat75 · 27/02/2022 21:50

During the first lockdown, one lady Round here started chalking really elaborate hopscotch’s On the pavement outside her house, they were fantastic and several other people started doing them (although none of them were ever as good as the original, they were like works of art!)

Definitely not graffiti. most of the UK is forecast rain over the next couple of days, so it will be washed away pretty quick anyway so the grumpy neighbour will have to find something else to be grumpy about.

FaceLikeASlappedAss · 27/02/2022 21:51

No. Our old neighbour kicked off when dc did a hopscotch on the pavement and put ' no parking' on MY car park space. As a joke no one else's.

He went mad swearing at dc who at the time was about 8?
I soon paid him a visit and told him not to bully my dc.
The temptation to draw a big knob on his path was huge. I managed to resist.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 27/02/2022 21:51

Not at all (unless they're chalking offensive words)

purpleme12 · 27/02/2022 21:52

@SeasonFinale

Oh look your neighbour is on here
I'm not sure what that's referring to but either way I've nothing to hide so it's not a problem

I live opposite a prinary school whete the olayground is only about 15 feet away so clearly visible.

The kids were drawing massive multicoloured chalk rainbows on the playground! It was brilliant and really cheered the place up, it was really good to see.

Anyone comparing kids chalk drawings to grafitti need to get a life, its just a bit of innocent fun.

Primary school, my phones' dodgy keyboard is too small for my fat fingers, reason for spellin' mistake$!
