What are your positives from this weekend?

In a bid to focus more on the positives & stop letting certain things / people drag me down:

DD was a lot less difficult than she has been. She’s 3.5. Maybe we are turning a corner?????

we tried a new activity for DD and it was lovely & the other parents seemed lovely

I’ve really struggling to make friends & a massive issue for me is lack of friends / loneliness. But I spent time this weekend with the one and only friend I have made locally & she really is truly lovely and I’m grateful I met her and she wants to be my friend

DD went to ex's for 2 nights. I used that time to sleep, read, watch all my favourite soaps and eat dinner in peace. Was fucking amazing.

Planted some bulbs and spring bedding. Got some nice food to eat.

Glad you've made a friend OP who seems a decent person. They're few and far between. Hang onto her, good friends get rarer as we get older x

I was able to sit in sunshine in the garden and a robin flew in and sat a foot away staring at me. It felt like he was asking me what the hell I was doing in his neighbourhood!

After keeping it secret since August I finally took DD to London for the Harry Potter play.

Unfortunately the second part was cancelled….

Still, it was an amazing weekend and we get to do it all again soon with our rebooked tickets.

I went to my best friends house for Sunday lunch with all my old school friends and partners - there was 10 of us. We were still there at 7pm. But bad given we left school 40 years ago.

I ran 9 miles, the furthest I've done in ages because of injury. It was very slow, but I did it with some lovely people and we sat and chatted for a long time over coffee afterwards.

I got the third and final coat (yay!) on my fitted wardrobes. They looked awful after the first and not much better after the second, I was beginning to think I'd ruined them, but they look good now.
