I'm just wondering what all your plans are this year! As I don't have any really. I feel like I have no life outside of work! Sad

I'm going to be a first time Mummy this summer for a long wanted baby :-)

To get a new job. Current one is crushing my soul so I need out. Not easy as I’m pretty senior and don’t live in an area where there’s an abundance of roles in my field. That being said, I’ve got 2 prospective opportunities on the go, so crossing everything that one of these pans out.

That, and I’d really like to lose weight, but 2 months into supposed new year resolutions and I’m still where I was on 1 Jan (probably a few lbs heavier actually)…. Need to get my head in the right place but with work zapping everything from me at the mo it’s very hard to do so.

Surgery. That will change my life for the better. Been waiting two years for it. Grin

Don't really have any other big plans, I'm very much a wait and see at the time type person.

Going for a big promotion at work - depends on the outcome of something I'm doing now that wraps up end of March.

Get fitter, I turn 40 next year and want to go into that year feeling great!

Travel to see family a 12+ hour flight away at Easter.

Read another few books off my "classics I pretend I've read but actually haven't" list

The kids have music exams and DS1 is going into Y6 so we need to get our skates on thinking about senior school.

I would really like to grow some vegetables this year. Even just a few in a grow bag would be fun.

Pull out my old cello and practice a bit. It's been 18 years Blush

More of the same really - we moved a couple of years ago and while the house is overall lovely, there's still a couple of things to do. Replacing some blown double glazing, repair and replace radiators as necessary. I'll carry on creating my 'woodland' garden, looking after our darling grand-son a couple of days a week and hope that life stays on a relatively even keel.

Get a new house.

Get a new job.

Start going to the gym and swimming again.

Start playing netball again.

Get a new man.

  • Turn 40 this year so I’m determined to get back to feeling good about myself after being hit by the double whammy of having a baby then lockdown so I’m feeling unhealthy & generally crap about my image. That needs to change
  • there’s a couple of big personal decisions I need to make this year
  • go abroad - DC’s first holiday abroad and my first since Covid
  • work on my self worth and general content / happiness . Stop focussing on a couple of people who make me feel like crap & focus on the lovely people in my life
