Bottomless brunch

Went to my first one recently with a few friends. Dear Lord I didn't realise how constant the flow of drinks would be...in 2 hours we managed 7 drinks each! I could not do it regularly. Had a good time though.

It started at 3pm and lasted 2 hours. It runs from 11am til 5pm on weekends. I was home by 9pm and went straight to bed. Not feeling great this morning. The temptation to ho somewhere else after and carry on drinking was too great! Definitely it will be a one off thing. Not healthy at all

My one was £30 per head for unlimited cocktails including prosecco and one food dish

Yeah I agree I try and get the last slot then go onto other pubs then get home nice and early or go onto further pubs and get steaming drunk hangover from hell the next day

Only 1 food dish? I can drink like a fish, but 7 cocktails and only 1 food dish would finish me off.

I really just wouldn’t want a load of cocktails and fuzzy wine before lunch. Even with lunch it’s too much.

I’d rather have coffee and orange juice with brunch. But I fear I am very boring.

It cannot be brunch if it starts at 3pm. That’s ridiculous.

11am yes. But by 12 it’s just lunch and at 3 you’re into ‘brinner’ territory. I can see how you’d end up drinking a lot at 3. But cocktails at 11 don’t appeal much to me.

Its a every few months thing with me and a few cousins, we usually go to turtlebay and order a few portions of chips for the table towards the end of our booking to soak up a bit of the alcohol.

There's a cafe that does bottomless cake nearby, 2 hours of 10 different cakes and bottomless tea/coffee/processo/beer.

And there's a place I'm London that does bottomless pizza and processor.

I'd never heard of a bottomless brunch but it sounds like an appalling idea. Why encourage people to drink too much, as many will to ensure that they get their money's worth. All you can eat buffets are similarly a bad idea.

£30, 1 menu item and unlimited drinks - it's at Turtle Bay. Will report back

Love bottomless brunches but find it sends all my group wappy. I think all the extra sugar in the cocktails along with the alcohol sends us hyper but we have a lot of fun. Then the 6pm hangover kicks in and it’s time for bed

I find it mildly annoying that the term 'brunch' has been hijacked to mean 'daytime piss-up'.

@extractorfactor it's so good and they're proper slabs of cake, not little gone in 5 bite bits! Between the 4 of us we struggle to eat more than 3 slices each. But bonus is, anything you don't eat you can take home!

Meh, I can't get worked up about the name. We had a great time and it was fun being silly but I'm definitely suffering today. Could not do it regularly. The waiting staff worked incredibly hard. Constantly removing glasses and bringing more...they must do so much washing up in the kitchen actually!

Ooh I love a generous bottomless brunch! Was it a las iguanas by any chance? We went to the south bank one and did bottomless Prosecco and definitely got our moneys worth! 🥂

Prosecco is £5 a bottle which is how they manage to lure people in.

It is what it is, a means to an end to get royally fucked. Which we all were. Good to let off steam occasionally.
