Teen boy book recommendations please!

Teen is 15, likes Robert Muchamore books, likes action and adventure but not horror. Suggest me some new books please!

Has he read the Alex Rider books by Anthony Horowitz? Or the young James Bond by Charlie Higson? Both are good at getting teenage boys to read and there is also an Alex Rider series on prime.

Yes, he's read both. I think I'm looking for something a little older.

In that case it might be worth him trying some Bernard Cornwell - particularly the Last Kingdom series, or the Iain M Banks Culture books if he is more into sci-fi.
