You just have to get some plaster & wait for it to heal, I'm afraid. Wear different shoes while it heals.

FatFredsFriedEgg · 26/02/2022 18:43

I'd just prick it with a singed needle and leave it do dry out.

And YABVU for having a signed photo of Tony Blair.

As it hasn't burst you could use blister plasters.

Rivermonsters · 26/02/2022 18:44

@FatFredsFriedEgg Blush it was a Christmas present , I thought pricking it could lead to infection?

POP IT! Grin

CovidCorvid · 26/02/2022 18:46

Google blister threading.

Theunamedcat · 26/02/2022 18:46

It will be sore if you pop it use a blister plaster and different shoes

We used to drain them slowly by threading a piece of cotton through it and leaving the thread in so it drained

mygrandchildrenrock · 26/02/2022 18:46

Blister plasters, they are brilliant but only if your blister hasn't popped.

applepineapple · 26/02/2022 18:48

Why is no one mentioning the framed Tony Blair pic? Grin

I normally singe the needle over a gas ring. I've never had a blister go septic on me, and I've had loads of blisters.

I'm not really encouraging you to do what I do though, it's just what I do and I've never had a problem with it.

Rivermonsters · 26/02/2022 18:49

@applepineapple Blush you should see my bedroom..

No wonder you considered pricking it with that photo nearby!!

Ilikewinter · 26/02/2022 19:19

Dont pop it, the liquid is helping to heal your skin, pop it and the skin will be raw and sore. Wear different shoes and let it heal

Easterbunnyiswindowshopping · 26/02/2022 19:28

Ilikewinter you would be no good on sporner corner!

Rivermonsters · 26/02/2022 19:39

taxi4ballet · 26/02/2022 19:53

Compeed blister plasters are miracle-workers, seriously.

MinglingFlamingo · 26/02/2022 19:57

No ideas but you have my sympathy. I got blisters doing exact same London trip. Only mine had burst and a bloody mess.

I Should get shares in Elastoplast right I'm getting through plasters

bellac11 · 26/02/2022 19:59

I'd certainly pop it with the singed needle, thats what Ive done in the past,, it feels a lot better once its popped

HerkyBaby · 26/02/2022 20:09

OP you need to collect snacks, takeaway/ food delivery menus and place them in a pile at either the side of your bed or sofa. You then need to lie down on either the sofa or bed whilst placing your foot on an elevated velvet cushion. You then need to rest the back of your non dominant hand on your forehead whilst operating the tv remote with your other hand. Do not move until it’s gone down but preferably until it has disappeared completely.

HeadacheGrey · 26/02/2022 20:33

I always pop my blisters with a fairly clean sterilised needle.

Soubriquet · 26/02/2022 20:38

I once had a massive blister on the bottom of both of my heels at the same time.

I stupidly pricked them with a porcupine quill, got all the liquid out and was then bothered by the sagging skin….so cut all that off too Grin

I was very lucky not to have any infection or side affects apart from my heels being a bit tender and sensitive where the new skin was showing
