How long has your composite white filling lasted?

Just had a really deep filling done yesterday. I think pregnancy messes with my teeth! Panicking about impending root canal in years to come (ridiculous I know). How long have your white fillings lasted so far?

Ages and I grind my fillings out. Even then I've just had them redone.

I wouldn't panic.

I've heard ten years. I had one done the other day. My other fillings are metal as they're back teeth. I had temporary fillings done in April 2020 that were meant to only last a few months and they lasted 2 years till I had them done properly the other day so I'm thinking they will last.

15 years and counting (in each of my front teeth), 3 months on a molar. I don't think you can say really! By my mouth alone, it seems very variable.

Pregnancy messes with my teeth too. People say it's not a thing but I'm convinced it is. Always had good teeth. Now I have fillings and I've lost 3 molars despite good dental hygiene after 4 kids.

20 years and counting since I had 3 done. They are checked at every appointment.

There is an old saying "gain a child lose a tooth" so you're actually doing well to have gained 4 and lost 3

20 years and counting….

I'd say so far mine (two of them) have lasted 30 years or more. DS2 is now 25 yo and I definitely had them a few years before he was born (so they obviously withstood a pregnancy).

Look at Stacey Solomon, pregnancy ruined her teeth and she got veneers.

I've got one which must be 20 years old. Never had any problems with it. Touch wood!
