Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day. Unfortunately not in silence 🙄 the washer's on already. I've got the window cracked open a little bit & can hear a couple of birds singing away.

Dd1's off on residential in a few weeks so we're off to get some travel bottles & something for her to wear to the student union quiz night (it's 3 days at York Uni).

When we get back it's homework for them, then probably Minecraft. & painting Zog spoon puppets for me, for work.

Tea's the leftovers of last night's Chinese takeaway 😋 and a glass or two of wine for me.

Tonight I'll either carry on my current crochet project, or start my new book. It depends whether the book arrives today. The girls will more than likely watch other people stream Minecraft 🙄 and ask to stay up late since it's Saturday.

I’m still in bed working up the energy to put the kettle on. I had an accident with a hot water bottle a few weeks back and had to take a lot of pain killers. I’m on the mend but the tapered withdrawal from the codeine meant I got to sleep late last night and have a banging head this morning.

DS (9) is at rugby and his dad will drop him back to me in a couple of hours. DP has gone to the airport as he’s working in France for the day. Back late tonight.

Got a kids party in a couple of hours. I’m taking DS and his very noisy friend. I’m desperately hoping it’s drop and run as it’s at a smelly indoor assault course and I can’t be arsed sitting in there for 2 hours making small talk.

Then it’s just DS and I. I expect he’ll be knackered so I’ll let him pick a film and our tea. I’d love a glass of wine as I’ve not been able to drink this year but we’ll have to see how many painkillers I need today!

Day 4 of Covid for me and in bed feeling very rubbish.
DS is on day 7 and hopefully tests negative today and tomorrow so he can go back to school Monday.
DD is on day 2 and not feeling too bad yet.
DH on day 5 and feeling better now.
It’s been a fun week

I’ll be staying in bed today probably, sleeping and watching Netflix. I do need to muster up the energy to wash my hair as it’s gross.

Had some lemon curd on toast for breakfast. Was fab.

Stopped the stupid dog barking at seagulls in the garden.

Now sitting watching the news. Need to not do that.

Bike ride to aerial yoga class then back again! Then maybe gardening this pm, out for a birthday meal this Eve with a friend then cinema. So pleased the sun is finally shining!

Morning! Thank you op - I love these threads. Breakfast is done - 2 kids and 3 adults. In laws have been picked up by sil husband and gone for coffee. H has taken the boys to football practice. I’m doing the housework - in laws out so music on 🤣 Then it will be lunch duty - no idea what although there are leftovers. H hasn’t said about dinner. It’s all last minute as the in laws are over. Last night I had dinner for 10. Have a lovely day all.

We’ve all had pancakes for breakfast, so we’ll think about cleaning the kitchen.

I’ve got a rugby tots session in about an hour, my sons at rugby training now so I’m hiding in the car until its over. My husbands at baby sensory, when we’re all done we’re going out for lunch.

Grandma is visiting today and staying for a few days, so I’ll be picking her up this afternoon. Once she gets here she is taking my son to the cinema. Apart from that, no other plans really, a lazy one really.

I’ve got a load of washing on & now about to start doing some work. DH is taking the DC to their swimming lesson. Hoping to get to my badly neglected allotment later after lunch, so I want to get all household chores/work done and out of the way this morning!

Greek salad for dinner later. The children will want to play on the Wii and DH and I are looking forward to another episode of The Witcher. If I can persuade them to do some homework at some point, that would also be a bonus.

Somehow we almost manged to have a lie in, DD (5) took herself off to play instead of jumping up and down on us for a change. Except my DF decided 8.20 was the perfect time to phone to tell me what pub he's booked for a meal tonight. So that was that.

We need to attempt to find a shop that stocks white kids occasion shoes for DD, for a wedding. Everywhere has them online, but in a shop? Oh no. And I can't afford to order loads of pairs of shoes then send back the ones that are no good.

Also need to chop down 2/3 of a massive bush that's taking over the garden.

Find these threads v comforting in all the wider world chaos. Having a v rare lie in as dds are with dad. Watching Shakespeare and Hathaway which I've never seen before.
Going out to visit a friend and her very wee baby around 12 and then got a family games afternoon. Need to clean out the rabbits, do some bonding with them and some hutch repairs today or tomorrow.

Need to pull my finger out and do some back to school prep with the school uniform etc....

DH kindly surprised me with breakfast in bed. I'm still here enjoying the peace and quiet and the sunshine through the window! DD is with her dad until tomorrow afternoon. Will need to spend some time with the menagerie today, and I really need to make a start on uploading about 1500 items to Vinted. Out for a Thai this evening and then try to convince DH to make me his amazing gluten free cheese scones tomorrow. Nothing major planned for once and it's lovely to just chill out. Absolutely love these threads @lucysmam, always look out for you on a Saturday morning!

My Mum is in hospital and because she couldn't sleep at 4.15am she sent me a text to list what she wanted me to bring her. Nighties, magazines and a ham sandwich! I had plans of doing nothing except plant some veg seeds, craft and listen to Rylan from 3pm.

DH is away so had a lie in and lazy morning. Still sat on the sofa with he cold dregs of my first coffee. Need to get a load of washing on and tidy the spare room after MIL visit.
DS and I had a busy day yesterday so not doing much today. DH will be home about 4 so tea and chill out in front of the telly tonight

Going to get out with the camera today and hopefully get some photos of the beautiful mandarin ducks that have arrived at a local spot

Listening to the radio. Going shopping for all the March birthdays in a bit, it's an expensive month for us!
Looking forward to meeting adult kids this evening for dinner.

Been shopping, kids at football, then baking cakes followed by watching rugby with DH and our friends. It'll end up being a late one no doubt!

Woke up at 7, watched YouTube until 8 then made coffee, now on my second cup and still in bed. The teen had a sleepover last night so both of them are still sleeping in the living room. The 11 year old has just woken up, she didn’t sleep well last night and I’ve just sat on my arse and crocheted all morning.

I do have to get up and take dd to her football match and the house needs doing but I can’t be bothered!
