I’m not upset, just feeling a bit sickened. I think it’s shocking that something that destroyed and continues to destroy so many lives is talked about in a positive way.
Amazing chemistry. No. It’s just what happens when 2 unstable people with no morals, desperate for validation are put together. It was a complete car crash from start to finish. I can’t imagine seeing their interview and thinking anything other than ‘what a fucking mess’. I thought it at the time and watching it after 3 deaths so far, it’s even worse. Grim.

I think for me seeing the PY&MH interview on the BB bed as a youngster was completely different to seeing it now knowing what happened subsequently.

Feeling the Jim Morrison love. He was beautiful, highly intelligent ... and a hopeless, incurable addict, which is in no way attractive. I always had something of a yen for Ray Manzarek: not a front-man but I have quite a thing for cerebral, bespectacled types and in rock music they're a rare commodity.

Joshua Homme is angsty and quite aggressive and abusive. Big QOTSA fan and I saw them play live a lot: his treatment of his audiences is sometimes not pretty. The Derek Acorah comparison did make me laugh, though!

Till Lindemann ... yes yes YES. And I quite like Flake too.

Lindsey Buckingham was quite appealing in his day but he can't even come close to the charismatic and powerful presence and voice of Stevie.

To whoever posted the footage of 'Black' - thank you, that has to rate amongst probably my top five favourite songs ever. And another vote goes to Eddie Vedder.

Some frontmen are desirable until they start to speak. Then they turn out to be nasty, stupid or both.

My vote for sexiest front man ever goes to Axl Rose in his younger days. However, the "no talking" rule should definitely have applied to him. His manager apparently tried to apologise for his offensive remarks by saying, "I'm sorry, he's from Indiana." Almost as if he was Manuel from Barcelona.

He was sex on legs, though.

Young Mick Jagger was gorgeous too. Fortunately, he didn't seem to talk very much.

I've seen Evan Dando live many times, he's handsome but not sexy, don't do drugs kids.
Not strictly a front man but Guy Picciotto from Fugazi had an incredibly sexy stage presence in spite of being in a band known for being ascetic.
Stephen Malkmus is very handsome but strangely sexless.
Jon King from Gang of Four has incredible stage presence.

I used to think Evan Dando was all that, loved the early Lemonhead stuff. Then I went to a gig a few years ago. Bored out of my head ... he was way too "serious muso" for me. He's off the list!!!
