Where to buy school trousers for very tall DD?

DD is 11 and 5ft 6. I've always bought school uniform from M&S as they do an extra long length in skirts and trousers but they've been out of stock for ages. I have a stock alert on her size but have given up waiting. Where else can I get slim leg grey trousers from? She has a 63cm waist and 79cm inside leg. Has anyone found any school uniform suppliers that cater for tall, slim children?

Asda

Just checked Asda sizes. She'd need an age 9-10 for the waist and 17-18 long for the leg length!

If she's 5'6" she needs to be wearing women's clothes.

These would work in a size 6

My 15 year old had to swap to mens clothes at 13 as he's tall.

Primary and try loads on. They so “ badly made “ that you’ll probably find some that are both slim
And long enough . Pay not attention to what the size says 😂

I agree - womenswear

Next are the best after M,&S I've found, their slim fit is officially 2 inches slimmer like Asdas is, but I found it was worth trying a range of styles in slim fit as some were significantly slimmer fitting than others.

Otherwise, the M&S trousers come with room to grow hems you can unpick to make them longer. Do they have the long version in stock, unpicking the hem would I think take them down to the same length as the extra long length ones? Or could you put her in boys trousers briefly, if those are in stock?

My DD is 12 and 6' tall. She's now in secondary but during last year at primary we really struggled. I think M&S and John Lewis were the only retailers which made anything long enough. The supermarket uniforms were all on the small/short side.

@underneaththeash they are a good shout and I'll order them to try. Unfortunately the long length only starts in an 8 and that waist is 4.5cm bigger than hers. DS is also 15 and wears men's trousers. My concern is that women's clothes are made to fit curves which DD hasn't got yet.

@CrabbyCat unfortunately there are no M&S trousers bigger than 8-9 in the longer length. Checking boys trousers is a good shout.

@Helenluvsrob please don't make me go into Primark!! Grin
