At a friend's house yesterday she mentioned how her dd's name came about. Apparently her dgm died when my friend was 16 and she gave her dd her middle name as a loving nod.
.
Pre house move and friend had a clear out... Found a birthday card From dgm Elizabeth Marie.
Friends dd is Mary!!
She remembered the wrong name. We both laughed so much!!
How has someone tickled you this week?
Oh and my own dd saw a lone rabbit fleeing the scene across a road... Dd was sad she couldn't really do anything.

Best she hadn't risked a pile up to save the drifting white carrier bag!!

This one isn't a laugh but I hope you will accept it as a smile. Three days ago, on Radio 4 10p.m. news, after about 21 minutes of the programme, the presenter said that they don't usually do time checks on that programme but just that once she would pause to tell us that it was 22.22 on 22.2.22.

I love that, the wrong name tribute Grin

My DS walked into the room when I was on a super important and serious Zoom this week and unexpectedly pulled a mooney Grin it was so unexpected that I burst out laughing Blush

My neighbours 5 year son when he declared he was an adult and didn't need any help to carry the shopping bags his mum was struggling to carry. I was howling with laughter watching him carry each bag up the stairs by himself. I offered to help him and he told me no I'm an adult I don't need help.

Roared with laughter at a good friend telling us about a time when she'd walked into a bar, instantly slipped on the floor and peed herself when she hit the floor! Even worse, she was wearing a jumpsuit so had to get practically naked in the loo trying to sort herself out. Obviously mortifying but she had us in absolute stitches with the way she told it.

DS made me laugh yesterday when he told me that his dissertation is going to be supervised by some austere academic with a name very similar to Montgomery Peppermoose. That's not the name but the real one is just as good.

And a friend made me laugh this morning by telling me about a busy day she has planned next week. i won't share it as it may be outing but it was the equivalent of, on Tuesday we'll have the kitchen knocked through, I'm having an eye operation and our new foster child is arriving. It'll be fine.

I'm someone who organises my life to be very low stress so the way she can blithely just waft through a storm of stressful things and book them all in one day makes me laugh. And admire her.

That sounds so cute. I love DC at this age.

DD has started doing air inverted commas. Very funny. She's only 5.

She said to me the other day 'are you ''working'' today?'

Usually, my DD and I have breakfast before getting ready and going to work/school. So my DD decided to not show up for breakfast on Monday morning, went to her room to check what was up and poor girl was frantically doing her maths homework set over the half term. I was puzzled, since Abi has always been on top of it both in terms of marks , homework and behaviour! I asked "Abi, why did you not do this over the half term?" and her answer was "my friend challenged me that I could never get a detention, so I chose not to do the homework. But now I do not want to anger Miss Hawkins (her tutor) since she sent an email this morning saying to her tutor group that she was proud of her group since no one had gotten a detention this academic year"..... I wanted to show a serious face but I just could not stop laughing. All I said rather giggling was "I will just pick you up whenever you finish your detention". I did have a quick call Miss Hawkins later in the day and we both had a good laugh about it.
