Anyone with friends/family in Ukraine?

Does anyone have friends and/or family in Ukraine? I have a friend (western Ukraine) and so worried. Waiting to hear from him today.

Thinking of everyone in the same boat and the Ukrainians themselves of course. There are terrible times.

We have managed to get our family member out to west Ukraine and they are hopefully crossing the border tomorrow. Their home is destroyed. They will hopefully get to safety but will have lost everything. And our hearts are breaking for all the people left behind, it is unimaginably horrific.

Oh @forcedfun It feels so odd to want to be saying that it's good news they should be able to get out safely, yet really they've lost their home and everything else. It must be a relief to hear they are physically safe at least.

What shit times we live in atm.

I have just heard that all 200 people from one of my company’s Ukraine offices are now outside of the country. I am both so happy for them, but really hit by the exodus. It really hits home, even though it’s a small number, when you know it’s an entire office-full displaced.

Ds has a work colleague there. He’s escaped to Poland. Took 3 days.
