Can anyone working in a school help me figure this out please?

Your contracted hours of work are 20.00 hours per week. You will work 38 weeks school term only, this includes the designated In Service days. As stated above you are required to work school terms, during which time you will not normally be granted any leave. You will be paid for a proportion of annual leave and public holidays and will therefore be paid for a total of 43.69 weeks per annum.

My question is:

Will the pay be split evenly between the 12 months of the year or will I not receive any pay for almost 9 weeks?

First time working in a school. Thanks in advance for any helpful info Smile

Yes they divide the annual amount you will be paid and pay it over 12 months.

It's spread over 12 months.
But I don't think that's right saying school terms plus INSET is 38 weeks. Kids attendance is 190 days, 38 weeks, and 5 inset days on top is 39 weeks.

I work school term time, so in school days plus holidays equates to 44.5 weeks paid employment per year.

This is added up and divided into 13 equal payments over the year (as we are paid every 4 weeks rather than by calendar month).
