Veeeery quickly, tonight. Without a headband to use as a base.

I have lots of crafty supplies, and a glue gun, just nothing to use as a base Confused

Tia!

piece of ribbon that can be tied under the head?

TheSpottedZebra · 23/02/2022 16:03

Hairclips, or comb, and just clip it in?

Wire coat hanger. Material head band. Paper?

Could do a French braid and stick the flowers in that.

If you haven't already run a line of stitches through the middle of the veil tulle then gather them so there's a decent wodge of fabric there.

Do a half up half down hair do with a pony on top of the head. Back brush and pin the pony into a buffonty thing. Then force kirby grips through the thick bit of veil into the buffont above the hair bobble so it doesn't drop down.

The gathers will hide all the grips and the thick/secure hair do will keep it in place.

An elasticated waistband off something old to create a headband?

lucysmam · 23/02/2022 16:12

You're all brilliant! Thank you so much for such quick ideas.

I think elastic might be my best bet so will have a rummage in a minute when I've put the kettle on.

Fold the veil over/through a bobble and sew it to secure. Bobble round the bun with the veil half over the face and half draped down the back a la childhood 90s bridal barbie dreams

Big yoghurt bucket rim cut in to a headband

Waistband of some knickers

Pair of tights cut in to hoops

caringcarer · 23/02/2022 20:00

@nudieundertheoodie, that is brilliant. Very clever idea.

Thanks for the suggestions earlier on -it's done, in between various other things.

I found just enough elastic, cut the tulle into strips & pulled apart a never worn hair clip for the sparkles & to hide my hand stitching (because I was too lazy to get out my machine Blush )
