Social services & family court

Just looking for some advice

My ex was charged with dv against me and shortly after I found out I was pregnant. Social services visited after birth and said no unsupervised visits which I have stuck to.

Father has advised me he is going to go through court for access as social work are refusing to engage with him. He has seen baby at least once a week since born he’s now 6 months old. He seems to be getting help has a drug help social worker and a therapist now.

I don’t have an issue with him wanting more contact I want my son to have a relationship with his father but I’m wondering how this will work with social services advice because I don’t want to get in trouble with them by agreeing to contact?

There’s not any case open with my son it was just that one visit. I’m also in Scotland

The court will make a decision about contact, social services would not then advise to go against a court order. The court may ask social services to write an assessment and recommendations anyway.
