The other thread this morning asking about a song title has reminded me about one that I have been trying to work out for ages. I’ve googled and googled but nada - Mumsnet is my last hope!
I think it was from the early 80’s, possible late 70’s? It was a happy, uplifting song from memory but I was primary school aged - it could be the music clip itself that makes me think that as I can’t quite recall the tune (but it’s SO close, I can almost hear it!).
The clip started off with a man in a room on a typewriter, I’m sure it was black and white. The paper he was typing on is picked up by a gust of wind (or tossed aside?) and floats out an open window. At that point it becomes a colour clip and there’s a butterfly following the paper along as it floats down to a forest stream or river. There is something singing and dancing in a top hat - I think it’s a lizard? But I seem to recall a dancing frog as well. All the forest insects and animals come out and sing and dance along behind the lizard, who maybe also has a walking stick that he swirls around as he leads everyone along? There was definitely a top hat…
Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
