Why do people stare at and mock learning disabled people?

When me and my girlfriend who have learning disabilities are out and about people seem to stare at us and mock us! Why do they do this?

Because they are rude. I’m sorry.

Because they are arseholes

I hope you also have people who do not act so rudely when you are out and about

Of all the people I have ever known I have only met one person who was rude to people with learning disabilities
That person is not a friend now, because of their bad behaviour

I’d like to believe that most people would treat you with the respect you deserve

Because they aren’t happy with their own lives and try to make themselves feel better by sneering at other people.

Sorry this happens to you.
I always try to remember the many nice reactions/ indifferent or positive interactions that you didn't notice at the time. I imagine you must have walked past many people who didn't mock you?
It is said it take about 14 nice/ positive deeds to counteract one horrible.

Because they're pathetic arseholes who get off on upsetting other people.

You don't deserve to be treated differently than anyone else. These people sound uneducated and ignorant.

These people are vile ,thankfully my son has no concept of how utterly vile some people can be ,but it makes me furious on his behalf You and your girlfriend are better people
