Any good? (For a 6 year old)

We did it with a 5 year old in January and it was dreadful, boring and a complete waste of money. Seriously, literally the worst attraction I've ever paid money to do. If it had been a fiver each it may have been ok but honestly, steer clear. I've also done the London Dungeon one next door which was better tbh.

Greentomatoes21 · 22/02/2022 18:51

🤣🤣 sounds dire! Phew - noted!

I thought it was rubbish but my girls loved it!

Fabricedesauveterre · 22/02/2022 18:53

I’ve done it twice and my girls loved it

Greentomatoes21 · 22/02/2022 18:55

Interesting! My daughter is obsessed with shrek so could well be in that camp.

We took our 9 year old and he LOVED it and so did we! Really made us laugh and was a great way to spend some time. Definitely recommend it.

pupcakes · 22/02/2022 21:06

Tip: don't google it, not knowing what comes next/the format makes it more fun!

Desmondo2021 · 23/02/2022 08:51

Will be interested to know what you think OP... So funny how people can feel so differently about it. I literally can't say enough how dreadful I found it and so did my daughter 🤣

Deadringer · 23/02/2022 09:00

I went with my 8 year old and we both thought it was brilliant. My older dc went next door to the dungeons with dh and they were very underwelmed.

Greentomatoes21 · 23/02/2022 18:43

@desmondo I know!! Seems an expensive gamble 😅 Will see what we decide come the weekend!

I took my DD when she was 7 and we had a great time.

ENoeuf · 23/02/2022 18:46

We went years ago when it first opened and it was fabulous. I wonder if it’s got worse as it must have cost a lot with all the live action etc.

rolypolydoly · 23/02/2022 18:47

We went last summer. Absolute shite and not worth the money. Dungeons are much better

Quartz2208 · 23/02/2022 18:49

What was it like in the last 2 years because having done it a couple of times (it was very good) I can see how Covid may well have impacted the experience a lot

MsIreneWinters · 23/02/2022 19:00

I thought it was fine but overpriced. Loads of queueing and rude staff at the entrance. Some of the actors were fine, some were dreadful. I was not particularly impressed.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 23/02/2022 19:31

I took DD and she loved it! And so did I. I thought it was funny and good fun.

I thought it was better in Covid as less people in the groups. Those who hated it - can I ask why? I love immersive theatre which this basically is, with dreamworks gloss, but can see it’s not for everyone

When we lived in London we had Merlin passes and went here alot. We all loved it but as time went on,we noticed cutbacks ie the bus used to actually move but then it broke and they never fixed it. A small thing but it did make a difference. Also some rooms might not be on if they were short on actors. Left too long in the mirrored thing if they were busy which led to alot of anxiety.
