Feeling a bit sad I totally didn't notice it. Apparently lots of places around Bham felt it. I was on a bus and felt nothing.

We're in Solihull but we didn't feel anything - I didn't know it had happened at all until reading this thread!

@MrsDThomas

I remember the on in north wales in 1984. 5.4 and fresh as the day it happened. Early morning, mums and kids running to the street not understanding what happened.

Ive felt a few in my time, living in north wales we can have a few,

I love a tremor, though id hate those devastating ones. I don’t know how those poor souls start life again

I remember that one. I was in bed in Dublin and I thought a very heavy lorry was driving past much too quickly. My friend was staying with me at the time and she was in the bathroom with a sink full of water and was more freaked out than me because of vibration patterns in the water.

@BitOutOfPractice

Typical national press saying Birmingham. It was the Black Country, as was the one in 2002. And yes, they're different and yes it's important Grin

@BlackAmericanoNoSugar of course! Ireland felt it too!

I’m in Stafford and didn’t feel a thing-might have been a bit too far away for it
I do remember the one in York a few years ago
I had a baby that just wouldn’t bloody sleep and I’d just got him off and the house shook,woke him up and his siblings came running into my room in a blind panic-none of us knew what had happened until the morning-all I knew was I had two toddlers and an awake baby

I just sat and cried my eyes out-it really felt like the world was ending

Bigfishlittlepuddle · 23/02/2022 03:59

Oh starlight I am sorry. I hope that you have had many good nights of sleep since then.

I live in an earthquake zone and regularly get shakes. Have to admit I wouldn’t get that excited over a 3.2 and usually kiss those unless I’m lying down doing nothing!
Did have a 6.6 a few weeks ago that was quite exciting though….

Bigfishlittlepuddle · 23/02/2022 08:06

I thibk we get excited about tiny earthquakes precisely because they are so rare. Were you okay after the 6.6?
