Can I use mince beef that's been in freezer for 6 mths?

Just this really! I have left mince beef out of the freezer only to discover is from august. I now cannot get out to buy fresh mince but would it be ok? Surely if it was frozen it'll be fine?

I wouldn't think twice about using it even if it had been there a year or longer

It might have freezer burn (you can see that, bits looking white) or be rancid - you’d have to sniff it once defrosted.
Or it might just be stale.

As pp have said its absolutely fine you can have mince in the freezer up to a year.
