Never have I ever fancied this person, but this particular appearance gives me the fanny gallops

Paul McCartney. I've never ever had even a flutter, in fact he's the opposite of what I find attractive, but cripes in this video he really gives me the gallops, particularly at 39 seconds.

What are your never have I evers?

OP, I watched eagerly to see what sexiness would unfold at the 39 second mark. He looked like a self-conscious P.E teacher getting down at the school disco.

My fanny steadfastly refused to flutter.

KhaleesiOfChaos · 20/02/2022 18:31

The advert popping up on this page as I'm reading this thread...girl with biro looks like she's watching OPs video with great appreciation Grin

Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, but only when he has the goatee

Kate McKinnon in the Ghostbusters remake.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/02/2022 18:33

@HazelBite

Rufus Sewell in Victoria
Rufus Sewell full stop. My word. (I know this isn't the point of the thread, but I've never seen him looking unattractive.)

I'm another one for Alan Rickman as Snape. Anything else - nope. No way.
And l never 'got' Johnny Depp until Pirates of the Caribbean.

Tequilabeliever · 20/02/2022 18:35

The double standards on here are staggering. How would you all respond if a man posted that he’d love to shag a certain woman senseless, or if xxx was so fit she gave him a hard on.

Somehow mumsnet deems it’s acceptable when it’s women saying it. Actually it’s not acceptable either way.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/02/2022 18:36

@Appalonia

Aidan Turner is sexy in EVERYTHING! Have you seen him in Leonardo? Swoons...Grin
I'm not sure I've ever seen him in anything else (didn't watch Poldark) but here he is in And Then There Were None from a few years ago. My goodness me.
Benjispruce5 · 20/02/2022 18:39

Gutted I can’t get ‘Get Back’ as don’t get Disney Plus. Is it available anywhere else???

CrimeaChimera · 20/02/2022 18:39

Oh bullshit. people fancy people. DH goes all swoony when Virginia McKenna or Julie Christie come onto the tv. i just nod and agree. (And think it is funny that he has a 'type' (aristocratic blonde) which small, dumpy dark mediterranean me can never emulate!).

Benjispruce5 · 20/02/2022 18:40

Aidan Turner??? Nah!!!! Aiden Quinn on the other hand….takes me back to my 15 year old self watching Desperately Seeking Susan and thinking about him instead of Madonna!

How would I feel if a man said he fancied xxx so much she gave him a hard on?

On an all staff email - weird
In a conversation with me about celebs we fancied - not so weird

People fancy people and have sexual thoughts about them. Shocker!

BurnDownTheDiscoHangTheDJ · 20/02/2022 18:43

I can see that @LadyFanny. Although usually I’m a 1964/65 Lennon girl. Especially if he’s smoking. Love him smoking.

@Classica it’s horses for courses.

GuyFawkesDay · 20/02/2022 18:45

Shaun Evans as Morse.

Not remotely who I'd normally go for but he has something very magnetic about him.

I know someone who works on Endeavour and says he's hilarious, and very lovely and yes, loads of the women go gooey over him.

Greg Wise as Willoughby. Not in anything else.

Colin Firth as Darcy. Ditto

People fancy people. Amazing. People fancy fictional characters written to be attractive, portrayed by actors/actresses, many of whom have been cast precisely because they are sexually attractive and many of whom spend a lot of their time trying to be attractive off-screen as well as on-screen.

It wouldn't remotely occur to me to think it was unacceptable for a man or a woman to talk about which actors/characters they fancied. Confused No double standards.

Tillymintpolo · 20/02/2022 18:52

Sean Bean in Sharp

Poetrypatty · 20/02/2022 18:53

Overall the thread is about how people can be fanciable in one role and not otherwise. Nobody would be that offended if men had such a discussion I should think, and I'm sure they do.

KimWexlersPonyTail · 20/02/2022 18:55

Ricky Gervaise in After Life but only that Blush

JenTree3000 · 20/02/2022 18:56

Hey

Skade · 20/02/2022 18:57

The only answer to this is Henry Cavill in the Witcher...

Fairislefandango · 20/02/2022 19:01

I kind of agree about the Witcher, but even though I find the character quite attractive, the sheer huge slab-like physique is a bit much and not my thing at all tbh.

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 20/02/2022 19:10

Alan Ritchson in Reacher when he was in full military regalia and again when he was in the suit.

Indifferent to the remaining outfits and his presentation in those.
